On 11th March 2011, parts of north-east Japan were devastated by a massive earthquake and tsunami. It is expected that the recovery process will take several years. In the meantime, many thousands of people are struggling to cope with the loss of their homes and belongings.
To help Japan through this difficult period, the Japanese people living in and around Exeter have arranged a fund-raising event as part of the 2011 Exeter Respect festival. We hope you’ll be able to support this effort, and we look forward to seeing you there!
All proceeds will be donated directly to communities in the areas most severely affected by the disaster, split equally between the Disaster Relief Charities of Iwate, Fukushima and Miyagi Prefectures and Minami-Soma City.
