Thank You!

On Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June 2011, a group of Japanese people living in and around Exeter organised a fund-raiding effort at the Respect In The Park event in Belmont Park. Thanks to the hard work of many volunteers and the generous support of the public, we managed to raise approximately £4000 to help the people affected by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Highlights included:

  • Sushi, cakes, Japanese sweets, Japanese tea
  • Calligraphy workshop
  • Games
  • Japanese dance performances, songs and Judo demonstrations
  • Japanese items for sale
  • A Taiko Drum performance by Kagemusha Taiko
